iGuides Canada ("we", "us", or "our") operates ProspectLocal, available at https://prospectlocal.ca (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and respecting your rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — name, business name, email address, password (stored hashed), and billing contact details when you register.
• Subscription & payment information — plan, billing history, and transaction identifiers. Card details are processed by our payment processors and are not stored on our servers.
• Prospect & campaign data — business and contact information you search for, import, enrich, or store, and the outreach content and results you create.
• Usage & technical data — log data, IP address, browser/device information, and actions taken in the Service, used for security and to operate the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to create and manage your account, provide and improve the Service, process payments, provide customer support, send service-related communications, maintain security and prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

3. Consent

Under PIPEDA, we collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. By using the Service you consent to the practices described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us — note that withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing the Service.

4. Disclosure and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the Service, including with third-party service providers acting on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, the Google Maps Platform, artificial-intelligence providers used for enrichment and content generation, payment processors, and email-delivery providers. These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Personal Information You Process Through the Service

The Service lets you collect and process information about third parties (your "prospects"). You are the party responsible (the organization with control) for that information and for complying with PIPEDA, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and any other applicable law when you collect, store, and contact those individuals. You must have a valid basis to process and contact them, and you must honour their privacy and unsubscribe requests.

6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.

7. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive stored credentials, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Storage and Transfers

Your information may be stored or processed in Canada or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by courts and government authorities.

9. Your Rights

Subject to legal limits, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to ask questions about how it is handled. To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@prospectlocal.ca. We will respond within the timelines required by PIPEDA.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
